How Germenu works

Six steps from an old menu photo to a professional, printable and scannable menu.

1. Upload anything

JPG, PNG, PDF, DOCX or a screenshot. Drag and drop, or tap to pick a file from your phone.

2. AI extracts your menu

OCR reads food names, descriptions, categories and prices, then organizes them into Appetizers, Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Desserts, Drinks and Specials.

3. Choose a template

Restaurant, seasonal, event and flyer categories — from Fine Dining and BBQ to Wedding Receptions, Thanksgiving and Mother's Day.

4. Customize in the builder

Typography and font pairing, brand or seasonal colors, single page, bi-fold, tri-fold or multi-page layouts, plus specials, chef recommendations and your restaurant story.

5. Get a QR code and hosted menu

Every order receives a permanent URL, a scannable QR code and a downloadable PDF with a subtle “Made with Germenu” footer.

6. Check out in seconds

Email and optional phone. Make a one-time digital purchase, then download your PDF and QR code. Print yourself or use a local printer; Germenu does not print, ship or deliver copies.

Common questions

Can I print my menu?

Yes. Select US Letter or A4 in the editor and download your print-ready PDF. Printing is self-service or through your local printer.

Is Starter free forever?

No. Starter is a planned 30-day free trial, not yet available. Post-trial pricing and billing and cancellation terms must be confirmed before enrollment. Existing one-time digital purchases remain separate.

Do QR menus eliminate germs?

Digital menus reduce the need to pass shared physical menus between diners. Normal surface hygiene remains important.
